And now a great Monday evening?! 🙂 The work day is over for me so I'm just trying to relax as much as possible before having to start it all over again tomorrow. Looking forward to Wednesday night, I'm being taken out to eat for a [very early] birthday dinner with my family while I'm here visiting them. Though I was disappointed that the place I wanted to go has apparently permanently closed down now (an Italian restaurant that I haven't been to since my 21st birthday...)

I was a big fan of this show as well,though I could understand why they had to cancel it. The show's budget was astronomical for the time it was made. It had a production cost of $4 million per episode.

Hubby put on the first episode and so I watched it that way. (He put it on because of the guy playing the disgraced actor/cowboy in the beginning) I wasn't expecting to be into it at all, since I'm not into the game or anything, but I did find the concept interesting, and found myself intrigued by the story. I liked the way it started out, with the guy telling his daughter how to tell if a 'cloud' was dangerous or not (as in nuclear). Something about that scene just made it a very cute moment between them, to me.

Haha... COMPLETELY TRUE. But I love it still. 😄

I am a closet introvert lol. I mask as extremely extroverted and I am very good at being chatty and stuff but yeah it definitely drains me. Good example from a couple days ago. I was out of town a few nights at a Cybersecurity convention. Required me to talk to about ~50 people one on one (vendors) over the course of 8 hours. I then went on to speak about a couple topics at a Q&A panel (I wasn't on the panel but I wanted to respond to a question with a different approach than the panel was taking). That was in front of about I'd say ~300+ people. Thankfully my comments went over well. Afterwards I was getting a lot of questions about it and I did answer them all. I was suppose to go to the bar for a social thing from 6-8p but I was just done. Got changed, went down there, took one look at the group of people and was like "yeah nah" got some food and went back to my room and hung out till I could hang with my homegirl on the phone later that evening.

Definitely an introvert here as well. Totally understand about that social gauge that was mentioned and needing time alone to recharge (which I usually don't get, at least not in the way that I need).

It's been a long week. I'm looking forward to this cold snap that is on the way though. 😍

It's not too bad. I'm enjoying the weather today.

If only more people understood this. There would probably be less fights. I know I've had several really dumb fights with family over me not feeling up to socializing or wanting to socialize on a particular day. Or I would say I'm going back to my room when I was burnt out and would be told that I couldn't go back to my room.

Same. I feel like I'm expelling energy just trying to make things work with new people. It's always been easier for me to shut down and isolate myself for a while until I get that energy back.

Introverted 100%, I have a socialization gauge that maxes out and then I just want to be alone to recharge.

I must be getting rate-limited. I'll post more tomorrow lol.

Ouch, I hope you don't end up getting enough rain to worry about flooding. Today was a high of 56°F and partly cloudy today. Kind of surprising considering the weather usually starts warming up around this time.

Update: It was pointed out to me that the light/dark toggle was not working. I checked and confirmed that it was an issue with the permission settings for the dark version of the skin. It should work now! Let me know if anyone is still having an issue with it.

Thanks! I tried to offer a variety of choices! I'm open to swapping one of the options out if anyone has a preference for something else.

You could be describing Nebraska for about four months out of a the year. I'm actually super interested in what's under all that ice. I'm sure there's a ton of super interesting fossils etc to be discovered.

Yeah the place looks to have closed down in 2021, so probably another COVID casualty. 😕 They had an amazing five-cheese fettuccine! I ended up settling on Olive Garden, mostly because the hubby hates it, which means I never get to go there when in Cali. It was worth it just for that alfredo dipping sauce for the breadsticks, which are now apparently never-ending! That was awesome news, lol. I just got the fettuccine alfredo, which is what I have always gotten. 😄

I know the feeling about lack of sleep. I feel like I've not been getting a full night's sleep the past few nights and I'm not sure why. If it progresses or gets worse, I may need to look into joining a sleep study to see if I have sleep apnea or something.

Glad to hear that it's mostly gone @Prometheus! I know the feeling. My complaint for today is just lack of sleep. The puppy did NOT want to go to sleep at all last night, so I was up with her since around 1:30am... I finally got about 30 mins of sleep, only to wake up with a stomachache so I decided to take a sick day from work. Good decision so far. 😄 Not looking forward to the BS I have to deal with tomorrow but for the moment, I'm just not thinking about it!
