  2. A Quiet Place Prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, Wraps Filming Filming on the upcoming horror prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, has now wrapped. Confirmed by director Michael Sarnoski via Instagram, the filmmaker has offered an extensive look behind-the-scenes of A Quiet Place: Day One courtesy of several images of the cast and crew, which includes writer and producer John Krasinski, and stars Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn. “A quiet wrap,” filmmaker Michael Sarnoski said in a caption alongside the behind-the-scenes images. “I can't properly express how much appreciation I feel for the incredible talents that came together to make this movie. I've felt challenged and supported in ways I'll always cherish. Thank you all for coming on this journey.” Plot details for A Quiet Place: Day One are currently a mystery, but based on the title it is expected that the prequel will detail what happened on the first day that the alien beasts with super-hearing crashed down on Earth and began to devour humans. No doubt much chaos will ensue. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jeff Nichols, and based on an original story by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place: Day One will be led by Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o alongside Stranger Things standout Joseph Quinn. The rest of the cast includes Hereditary and Jumanji: The Next Level star Alex Wolff and Shazam! New Joker 2 Set Photos Reveal a Possible Second Joker, or More With production on director Todd Phillips' sequel Joker: Folie à Deux now in full swing, and Lady Gaga herself on site as the newest iteration of Harley Quinn, fans everywhere have been clamoring for sneak peeks at how the Joker's story is going to continue to unravel in classic clown prince fashion. Luckily, per a report from CBR, photos and clips of the film's first major shoot in Los Angeles have begun pouring in, giving us a firsthand look at not only what to possibly expect from the sequel, but who to expect. Judging from the new photos, it looks like we may have more than one Joker on our hands. The photos taken from the set of Joker: Folie à Deux show what looks like a car chase scene devolving into a chase on foot through the streets of Gotham. We clearly see Joaquin Phoenix in character as Arthur Fleck/Joker, this time in a less recognizable gray suit, the Joker makeup marred but still evident on his face. However, it seems like we see double. Someone else appears, very much dressed as Joker in his classic red suit. Courtesy of Den of Geek, more clips from Twitter show the second Joker chasing Fleck relentlessly through the street along with another unidentified character in a brown jacket and Joker mask, possibly yet another Joker, who gets knocked away by a police car mid-chase. One clip is viewable below. movieweb.com/new-joker-2-set-photos-reveal-a-possible-second-joker-or-more/

  20. Bradley Cooper's Maestro: Plot, Cast, Release Date, and Everything Else We Know The Plot: In Maestro, Leonard Bernstein's brilliant life is explored, with a moving emphasis on his complex marriage to Chilean-American actress Felicia Montealegre. The movie dives into the personal ties that connected their lives, from the chance meeting that started their friendship in 1946 to the tragic events that came after. Maestro doesn't follow a standard biopic's chronological plotline. Instead, it depicts the couple's marriage as a whole, capturing the spirit of their connection and the key moments that shaped it. The cooperation of Jamie, Nina, and Alexander Bernstein, the children of Montealegre and Bernstein, has given this representation a real touch and brought the essence of their parents' tale to life on the big screen. Beyond his music, Bernstein left a lasting legacy that includes his support of organizations near and dear to his heart. His fervent opposition to the Vietnam War and early advocacy for LGBT rights provide the film's narrative depth by tying together the lines between the private and public spheres in this symphony of life. The movie also explores Bernstein's creative process, giving viewers a peek at the flashes of inspiration that led to the creation of some of his most famous pieces. Maestro offers a complete picture of the artist's development, from his ground-breaking method of conducting to his complex works that united classical and modern music. The Cast: Starring as the titular maestro himself is the multitalented Bradley Cooper. Beyond his remarkable performance, Cooper's directorial prowess orchestrates the film's artistic vision. Sharing the stage with Cooper is the esteemed British actress Carey Mulligan, who embodies the role of Felicia Montealegre, Bernstein's wife. Maya Hawke, known for her presence in Stranger Things, takes on the role of Bernstein's daughter, Jamie. Michael Urie masterfully portrays Jerome Robbins, the American dancer and choreographer behind Bernstein's iconic West Side Story. Notably, Cooper's casting of Mulligan as Montealegre sparked conversations within the Latinx community, prompting discussions about representation and authenticity. The film's ensemble cast is a testament to the commitment of all involved to render the intricacies of Bernstein's life with depth and authenticity. Release Date: Maestro, which will screen at the 80th Venice International Film Festival from August 30 to September 9, 2023, will be the center of attention. The start of its cinematic journey is marked by its premiere screening at a prominent film festival. After the festival, the movie will mesmerize viewers in a few theaters starting on November 22, 2023, until it finally finds its home on Netflix on December 20, 2023.
